++ Non UK customers, USA, Europe and rest of the world will receive this as a DRIED yeast starter. As our starters travel all around the world, we want to make sure they get to you in the best condition. If we send wet sourdough to a hot country there is a high risk of contamination and spoilage ++
Product details: 80g Wet or 40g Dried (1 yr BBE).
You will receive the starter, in a BPA free food grade pouch, in a cardboard large letter – it will fit through most letterboxes. All the packaging is fully recyclable and biodegradable.
Our Sourdough by the Sea Culture is fed using flour, from Doves Farm, the UK’s no.1 organic flour brand. And filtered water.
Sourdough, including the starter, is made with three simple ingredients, flour, salt and water which makes for a delicious bread suitable for vegans.
NOTE – Summer months – May to September – our starters are sent as dried sourdoughs to ALL customers.
ALLERGEN info – Our starters are made with wheat or rye flour, water, yeast, and salt. It may contain traces of sesame, nuts, soy and eggs, as we use the same equipment for all our products. Our kitchen also processes these allergens.

Great product. It arrived promptly. I activated it as instructed and it was doubling in size within 3 days so I decided to bake with it. I’ve just made a very well-risen 100 percent wholemeal loaf.
