This kit gives a new baker the tools and confidence to begin properly. The equipment can be used again and again, while the starter can be cared for, shared and baked with for years.

- 40g dried sourdough starter culture – Reliable and easy to wake when they are ready to begin.
- 80g organic strong white bread flour – Enough for the first two starter feeds.
- 10g sea salt – Measured and ready for their first loaf.
- 850ml Weck glass jar – A secure and attractive home for feeding and storing the starter.
- 20cm banneton proofing basket – Supports the dough during its final rise and helps create a beautifully shaped loaf.
- Reusable banneton liner – Keeps the basket clean and gives the baker a choice of finish.
- Wooden bread lame – For scoring the dough before baking, complete with five spare blades and a protective storage pouch.
- Flexible dough scraper – Useful for mixing, dividing, shaping and moving sticky dough.
- Beginner’s sourdough guide – Clear instructions for waking the starter, caring for it and baking the first loaf.
They will only need to add water and enough bread flour to complete their first loaf.

Choose Express Delivery for same-day dispatch on orders placed before 1pm, Monday to Friday; these are sent using Royal Mail Tracked 24. Orders placed after 1pm, at weekends or on bank holidays are dispatched on the next working day. Royal Mail service times are delivery aims, so arrival dates are estimates rather than guarantees.
